Autoinstallation

SAYMON has a simplified agent installation procedure that allows you to quickly install an agent on your computer and connect it to an object on the server.

During autoinstallation, SAYMON server generates a shell command to download and install an agent, which an administrator should execute on the server. After executing the command, the agent will be installed in the automatic mode.

You can use autoinstallations only for supported Linux systems.
Before you start autoinstalltion procedure, make sure the agentInstallerUrl parameter of web application configuration is defined.

To do the agent’s autoinstallation, perform the following steps:

  1. Create object of class Saymon Agent.

  2. Hover over the created object and press the button:

By default, an agent installer download link is not defined. Before you start autoinstalltion procedure, define the link in the agentInstallerUrl parameter of web application configuration.
  4. Execute this command on the target server. After executing the command, the agent will be installed in the automatic mode.

The last 24 characters of the command are the unique agent ID. Agent ID is the same as the ID of a corresponding object of the Saymon Agent class. You can also find agent ID in the /opt/saymon-agent/storage/registration.json file.

The server downloads and installs within 30 seconds. If the installation is performed correctly, the agent status will be reflected in green color.

You can assign a color to a state in the States list.
После установки может потребоваться дополнительная настройка установленного агента в файле конфигурации.
